1. Quotations shall comprise of a six months quoted amount for the right to pick designated areas. This quoted amount for the right to pick will be payable in advance. Quoted amounts to be completed on Annexure A.

1. The products available for harvesting are as per Annexure B.

1. The quoted price must exclude VAT.

1. Harvesting restrictions shall apply as per Agreement of Sale.

1. Legal Requirements: All Nature Conservation requirements must be adhered to. Interested parties must attach a copy of their permits – Species must correspond with those on your permit.

1. Prospective parties are advised to visit the area to familiarise themselves with volumes and conditions.

1. No restrictions are placed by CAPE PINE (MTO FORESTRY (Pty) Ltd), on the resale of products.

1. Harvesting is to be done during working weekdays, from Monday to Friday. The harvested product must be accounted for at any given time. Harvested product and amounts must be reported to MTO officials on a daily basis.

1. Entry into plantations must be confirmed with plantation Foresters in advance on a daily basis.

1. Entry into plantations may be refused on days of High Fire Risk.

1. The successful party must enter into an agreement with the Seller : the Health and Safety Contract, (as regards to safe working procedures) as well as an Agreement of Sale pertaining to the availability of plantations, products, reporting and auditing procedures.

1. Harvesting activities must be to the satisfaction of the seller and without damage to the environment, plantation roads and company property.

1. Quotations, which deviate in any way from the prescribed conditions, will not be considered.

1. The highest or only quotation will not necessarily be accepted.

1. The following should also be supplied:

1. a.  Your company’s current BBBEE certificate.

b.Your actual take-off and history with MTO during the last three years.

c. Your latest audited annual financial statements or other information/documentation to enable

the assessment of the company’s/entity’s ability to pay.

d. A copy of your Company’s current Nature Conservation permit to pick flora.

1. Quotations enclosed in a sealed envelope marked “QUOTATION – PLANT PRODUCTS, must reach MTO Forestry (Pty) Ltd’s Grabouw office at 2 Worcester Str, GRABOUW, not later than 13H00 on Friday, 10/05/2013. Documents received late, will not be considered.

1. Interested parties should note that the name of the successful party would, on request, be made known to interested persons.
